2024 is the year for true head hunters! As a head hunter, you proactively work for clients and represent them as an extension of their business. You play the long game, live your market, don’t have to try and place every candidate that you meet and you give real advice (regardless of fees). CV shifters sit on CVs they come across (mainly inbound) have a smash and grab mentality, and chase any fee. They’re disloyal to their clients when the tide turns and don't have placements who last long-term. Unfortunately, there are more of the latter. In this tough market and skill shortage, head hunters are at their best value. Keep the standards high and thrive🦁

Selective Insurance is expected to release its Q4 earnings on January 31st, and it's worth noting that the company is owned by individual shareholders and institutional investors such as Vanguard & BlackRock However, based on my personal experience, to my belief, Selective Insurance leadership team, including President and CEO John Marchioni has not been following their own brand mission statement. Specifically, their claims division with president Paul Kush to my belief, has been overpromising and under delivering on services, which could have a significant impact on their stock. To my belief, their archaic approaches and policies have resulted in increased administrative costs to policyholders and a possible lower bottom line return to shareholders.It's important to never take a claimant for granted, as Selective Insurance may learn the hard way ignoring a claimant instead of finding an amicable resolution for settlement, winding up in a full trial raising administrative costs for clients. From my experience, they continue to not mitigate risk, raise administrative costs where possible, and take an archaic approach stance when a claim could have been settled amicably prior to trial. This could certainly have a deep impact on the Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) and may lead future or current clients to my belief, to look to other carriers when reviewing deductibles/SIR if self-insured.#Riskmanagement #claims #Selectiveinsurance #claimsmanagement #riskmanagers #claimmanagers #cnbc #barrons

❌❌ Attention scammers! ❌❌Not many people know this but...I run a background check on everyone I work with BEFORE hiring them.I always want to know who they are before they tell me themselves.Here are the things I check:- Do they have a website? (not essential)- Do they have a LinkedIn profile? (pretty essential to me)- Does the description of what they do match with the work experience they listed? (yep, I check that)- Are we in common groups that are about the topic for which I am hiring them?- Are they in those groups asking how to do what they are saying they are great at? (this is pretty common)Well, you will be surprised how many people fail these tests.So, here is my advice: do a background check.Everyone claims to be the best, but many lie openly and without any shame, believing they can "figure it out" afterward.And while this is true to a degree (that you can figure it out), you need to know at least a good amount of what you sell.From the anti-scammers-misleading-liars warrior is all for today 😂⚔️
