Anybody have any insight into what's going to happen there? The Komart and strip center have now been demolished, so I'm assuming that it's going to be redeveloped pretty soon.

I'm guessing there will be additional retail. However they could put in some "nicer" apartments. That area looks like it's in transition. You only have to drive a few hundred yards north on Gessner before things get pretty dodgy.

The entire strip has been removed as of last week.
I've tried to get a straight answer out of MetroNational. The best I've gotten was "Professional buildings. Maybe mixed use."

They had a chance to move the remaining tenants and did. The demo'd the building so they don't have to pay property taxes on the improvements. There are no immediate plans but it will one day be an office building.
