CALL FOR EXHIBITS - The Gifts of Art Program is seeking submissions for solo and group art exhibits for the September 2021 to August 2022 exhibition year. One of the first and most comprehensive arts in healthcare programs in the nation, Gifts of Art brings the world of art and music to Michigan Medicine at the University of Michigan. Our nine 2-D and 3-D galleries throughout the medical center are viewed by approximately 10,000 people a day and display over 30 exhibits a year.

The Exhibition Program is intended to support the healing process by calming nerves, lifting spirits, engaging minds and thereby reducing the stress and anxiety often associated with healthcare settings. With large patient, staff and visitor populations that are diverse in every way imaginable, we strive to be inclusive and honor this diversity by mounting exhibits that reflect today's world. The TBW Drawing Prize exhibition and awards are open to applications by emerging, mid-career and established drawing practitioners based anywhere in the UK and internationally. Up to three drawings made since January 2021 may be entered by each applicant for consideration by the Selection Panel.

£17,000 will be awarded in cash prizes.

The exhibition will open at Trinity Buoy wharf in London and tour to galleries around the UK.

The Du Bois Sculpture Project is accepting qualifications from sculptors working in figurative bronze to create what will be an integral part of a commemorative memorial intertwining history, art and landscape. This is an open call to sculptors based in the Northeastern United States to create a bronze likeness of Du Bois to be seated on a curved marble bench in front of The Mason Library in Great Barrington, MA.

Fontbonne University's Fine Arts Gallery in Saint Louis, MO seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, January 27 - February 5. Juror: Anthony Borchardt. All mediums accepted. The Jones Gallery, located in the nationally recognized Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, invites you to apply for our February Group Art Show. Yosemite Renaissance announces a call to artists for a juried art competition, May 1 - December 31, 2023 (approx) traveling throughout Central California. $4,000 in cash awards. Open to visual artists and artisans working in all media including but not limited to: oil & acrylic painting, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, printmaking, photography, digital art, drawing, fiber art, glass, woodworking, jewelry, ceramics, and sculpture. No film, video, interactive media or performance. Original works only. Limited edition prints and other multiples (photographs and digital/computer art) are allowed. No reproductions. Submitted works must be created in the last 5 years.

Hosted annually by Spiva Center for the Arts, the competition is open to all amateur and professional US photographers. Established in 1977, PhotoSpiva is the longest-running competition of its kind. PhotoSpiva 2023 will be the first PhotoSpiva to be presented at the new Spiva galleries at the state-of-the-art Harry M. Cornell Arts and Entertainment Complex.

In honor of Black History Month, Quad City Arts’ and Azubuike African American Council for the Arts are partnering to curate a juried, group exhibition of artists of African descent. The show will be juried by a group of Quad Cities based African American artists, along with Azubuike Arts and Quad City Arts.

In this Nails in the Wall Gallery exhibit, artists are invited to explore any aspect of the concept of ’emerging.’ From personal life, to natural life, to the vastness of the universe, to the breadth of artistic imagination…all perspectives are welcomed and encouraged.

Our Sculpture Fellow manages our wood and ceramic shops and helps support our programming. Our programming includes a year-round artist residency program, 2-3 exhibitions in the Maxon Mills gallery, artist presentations and visiting critic lectures, virtual programs, summer and winter benefits, as well as three more seasonal community events. Special consideration will be given to those with experience in exhibitions installation, and those who are also visual and/or performing artists.

Wassaic Project is accepting applications for two upcoming fellowships: the Print Fellowship and the Sculpture Fellowship. The part-time Print Fellow lives and works in Wassaic, NY, for six months, managing our print shop, providing support on projects by artists-in-residence, and producing prints with ten artists throughout the summer. The Sculpture Fellow manages the wood and ceramic shops and helps support programming, including the residency program, exhibitions, and artist presentations.

The City of Olathe is seeking large-scale, three-dimensional sculpture entries for our 2023 Downtown Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit. The City of Olathe's Downtown Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit, a juried sculpture competition, has annually brought a rotating display of sculpture from regional and national artists since 2004. The goal of the program is to activate Olathe's original town core area, connect people to the community, and celebrate the community’s love for the arts.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best nonobjective or nonrepresentational art. All artists, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best abstract art and photography.

To commemorate women’s day 2023, artists are invited to apply to Celebrating Women at the Kavanagh Gallery. The artwork in this show will celebrate the essence, the variety and the many accomplishments of women that have made a positive influence on society as well as on the artists on a more personal level.

Art in Public Places is a non-profit organization that has donated public art throughout the city of Bend, Oregon since 1973. For over 40 years Art in Public Places has created an enhanced visual environment for Bend residents and promoted tourism and economic vitality through the artistic design of public spaces.

AiPP’s ongoing efforts have steadily increased the public art collection in Bend for everyone to enjoy.

Open to Artists or Artist Teams residing in the Northwest and Southwest United States, specifically Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), Women and LGBTQAI+ community members are highly encouraged to apply. Artists living in Oregon are highly encouraged to apply. The project timeline is 2022-2023 and the total project budget is $130,000.

New York Foundation for the Arts’ Queens Arts Fund offers project-based grants to Queens-based artists and artist collectives to support the local production of artwork and cultural programs that highlight, engage, and bolster the diverse communities of the Queens borough.

The New Work Grant supports emerging Queens-based individual artists, collaborations between artists, and unincorporated artist collectives.

New York Foundation for the Arts’ Queens Arts Fund offers project-based grants to Queens-based artists, artist collectives, and small nonprofit organizations to support the local production of artwork and cultural programs that highlight, engage, and bolster the diverse communities of the Queens borough. Arts Access Grants offer project-based financial support for Queens-based small-budget 501c3 nonprofit organizations or unincorporated artist collectives.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces its 23rd “Solo Art Series” Online Art Competition. This competition will result in an award of 4 monthly solo art exhibitions. In addition, the gallery will award the next 8 juried artists a feature in the gallery’s Artist Showcase Section.
The gallery invites online submission of all 2D and 3D art (including photography) from artists around the world for possible selection for one the Gallery’s monthly solo art exhibitions or into the gallery’s Artist Showcase.

Nude Nite is America’s largest nude art exhibition showing over 200 works by artists from 52 states. Located in a private home in the outskirts of Antigua Guatemala, the residency hosts and collaborates with international & local artists and non-artists across all fields to support research, creation and connection surrounding creative work, process and purpose.
The residency program is focused on your creative practice and all the ways it can manifest. They provide research assistance and guidance towards project development and local resources.

Stifel Fine Arts Center of Oglebay Institute will be hosting a national exhibition of ceramic art in February and March 2023. This is the first of an annual exhibition and will be a focal point of Ceramics Take Over Wheeling.

International Deadline: January 6, 2023 – Oil Painters of America’s 32nd National Exhibition of Traditional Representational Oils, March 31 – April 30, 2023, at Reinert Fine Art in Charleston, South Carolina. The goal is to assemble the finest display of representational oil paintings.
The focus in the jurying process will be to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.

VAE is looking for submissions of 2D, 3D, video, and installation art for the COSO 2023 Biennial. COSO’s goal is to explore what artists and makers in the regional South are currently thinking, discussing, and making work about. VAE firmly believes that art and exhibitions have the power to create social change, and COSO is an extension of our core values, vision, and mission to produce, fund, and exhibit socially-engaged art through community collaboration. Oil Painters of America’s 32nd National Exhibition of Traditional Representational Oils, March 31 – April 30, 2023, at Reinert Fine Art in Charleston, South Carolina. The ​Crooked Tree Arts Center in Traverse City, Michigan, seeks artists for the national plein air painting festival, Paint Grand Traverse, now in its sixth year. Paint Grand Traverse is a plein air (outdoor) painting festival and competition featuring 32 artists from across the country.

The Studios is MASS MoCA’s artist and writers residency program situated within the museum’s factory campus and surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Operated by MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program, the residency runs year-round and hosts up to 12 artists at a time.

Art Jewelry Forum (AJF) is pleased to announce the 2023 Susan Beech Mid-Career Artist Grant opportunity for mid-career artists. The purpose of this grant, established by San Francisco-based jewelry collector Susan Beech, is to recognize a mid-career artist who has made a substantial contribution to the field and to provide resources to develop and implement a significant jewelry-related project that the artist would not otherwise have the ability to undertake.

The Heartland Artist Competition is open to all artists 18 and over. Artists are invited to submit up to three digital images of original artwork. A maximum of three digital images in jpeg format may be submitted for judging. The City of Davis Arts & Culture Grants for Individual Artists is a one-time grant program created to aid those who had a practice or career in the arts in Davis and were negatively affected by the impact of COVID-19 on the arts sector. Grants are funded by the City of Davis from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The goal of the grant is to stabilize the City’s nonprofit arts & culture sector by assisting and retaining motivated individuals

The Sheridan Arts Foundation announces a call to artists for the 20th annual Telluride Plein Air, June 28 - July 4, 2023 at the Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO.

“ImPRESSions” is a national juried exhibit of original printmaking art. All printmaking methods are accepted. The goal of the exhibit is to present original printmaking methods and to educate visitors about printmaking as an art form and the difference between the art form of printmaking versus the reproduction of art called a “print.”

International Deadline: January 5, 2023 – The OSUN Center for Human Rights & the Arts (CHRA) invites applications for two one-year research and teaching fellowships in human rights and the arts for the 2023–24 academic year.
Scholars, artists, and activists with teaching experience and a research project are eligible to apply. The 2023–24 fellowships cover a period of one year, i.e. two academic semesters, from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. The positions are based at Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, where residency is expected during the course of the academic semester. Fellowships include a full-time salary (65,000. USD), health benefits, and a research budget. Fellows are expected to participate in the academic life of Bard and the Open Society University Network, pursue their own research, and contribute to the CHRA’s public programs.
