Focus Financial Partners has split the US business of affiliate Connectus Wealth Advisers between two of its ‘hub’ firms.
The RIA financier said Monday that The Colony Group has acquired five Connectus brands: Atlas Private Wealth Management, Connectus Private, Hunt Valley Wealth, Mid-Continent Capital and NEIRG Wealth Management. Kovitz Investment Group has acquired Connectus brand NorthCoast Asset Management.
Financial terms of the transactions, which closed on June 1, were not disclosed. Boston-based Colony is adding roughly $5.3bn in assets through its deals, while Chicago-based Kovitz is adding roughly $3.4bn in assets through its addition of NorthCoast Asset Management.
