  I took ACCT 2121 over the summer under Dr. Kerr, and he was the best professor I've ever had at UNCC. His lectures were incredibly useful and insightful and he made things incredibly easy. It was super easy to follow up on notes and overall, he was an absolutely phenomenal professor whom I learned a lot under. It is test heavy, but still awesome

  Best Accounting professor I've had! He goes step by step for each process which is helpful for those who are not accounting majors. He also applies all the concepts to real world business activities. The quizzes help you prepare for the exams. The practice exams are very helpful to help you focus on what to study. More professors should mimic him.

  Prof Kerr provided great course on accounting. His lectures are very well structured, course itself is good produced, it has workbook to fill in, quizes keeps you goind and tests are clear and crisp. I would really recommend this professor. He did a great job for this class

  This course was very easy to follow (though not easy in substance). It was organized, lectures were clear, and expectations were reasonable. I felt that the course was as good as accounting could be :-)

  Dr. Kerr posts all of his lectures online and he does a great job of explaining accounting concepts and even give you cool things to use that will help you remember concepts. Super fair and responsive. No group project. One 1 page paper at the end , 3 tests, and several quizzes. He doubles the scores of your highest two exams. Take him for sure!

  I had a great time being in professor Kerrs class, initially the first exam was hard but youll easily get adjusted to how he teaches. Accounting in general is always going to be HARD no matter what so you need to apply yourself to study more and practice real-world based examples to get by. Studying and watching the lectures carefully is a must!

  Dr. Kerr does a great job of teaching accounting for MBAs. He is very straight forward and offered a one sided written note page for tests. COVID semester, so he allowed us to either be in the zoom lecture or let us watch the lectures on our own. Three tests and six quizzes with the lowest being dropped. Also a short paper. TAKE HIM!!!

  Dr. Kerr reached auditing, and hes a great guy and knowledgeable teacher with good experience. Test heavy but does allow a notecard (F&B!) for exams. One overarching project divided into small homework sections weekly, roughly 15% of grade. Tests are fairly straight up, but wording can be tricky and its a lot of memorization.

  I would not take another course with him. The class was all online and your grade is based solely on tests and quizzes. The class average was always a D on the tests. He did not do zooms only had prerecorded videos so the class was not interactive at all.

  A good professor for Accounting. You have to print a lot of guided notes, but he let's you use them on quizzes and you can use one sheet of handwritten notes during tests too. Overall a pretty straightforward class.

  Fraud Examination has been one of my favorite classes in undergrad. The professor is really good and provides class notes which help a lot when studying for exams. would definitely recommend this professor!

  Awesome professor! The lecture notes are easy to follow and outline what is important for exams. I recommend buying the gleim book for practice multiple choice questions. The lectures are good and he is a really nice professor.

  Took his summer class for Accounting 1. He is a nice guy but overall choose someone else. His guided notes are helpful but he is not good at teaching; which that can be detrimental in a tough class like this. I recommend studying to understand the content and not memorize. Ask for help from an accounting relative or friend as that helped me alot

  I took Dr. Kerr for a Accounting I class during the summer session and it was a great class. He does an awesome job in laying out the material and the chapter handouts provided are great sources of information in preparing for the tests. I recommend Dr. Kerr if you're looking to take an Accounting I class.

  Had Kerr for Mgmt Account. for MBAs. Class was hybrid (each week switched between online/in-class). My past experience w/ hybrids was they merely helped make the prof's job easier. However, KERR puts a lot of effort into the online content he creates 'cuz he cares about you learning as a student & won't waste your time with irrelevant materials.

  This professor was truly a blessing in my life. I took him over the summer and failed every test he gave, but i went to every class and took notes and showed him that i was concerned for my grade in his office hours and he passed me with a C. He does easy group quizzes. Exams are very hard. he posts class notes on canvas after class.
